Blended Families often have few resources. You may have a Blended Family yourself or come from a Blended Family and felt that love, hope, and joy are…gone. Perhaps, like me, because of dynamic family drama, exes, past trauma, and abandonment, it’s painful to trust. My wife and I were both handed a divorce we didn’t ask for. As a re-married father of ten kids, it’s still a struggle at times, I won’t even kid you. I had to dig deep. I made hard decisions. I had to give up so much I didn’t think I’d be able to breathe again. There is hope. My name is Chris Hammond, and I’m a former U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant turned author, with a passion for helping fractured families find healing and restoration through Jesus Christ. My upcoming book, Perspective: How to Find Jesus…Really. (And Where to Look.), is born from over twenty years of discovering life through a different lens—an infrared sniper lens from Someone with a different perspective than the one I was seeing. A new lens that moves beyond trauma, tragedy, shame, and defeat, into the profound perspective of Jesus’s eyes of forgiveness, healing, restoration, and victory.

I’m Chris Hammond, a former U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant turned author, pro photographer, drone pilot, guitar player, and voice-over artist. Over thirteen years ago, my wife and I were both handed divorces we didn’t ask for. I’m deeply acquainted with the pain of abandonment, false accusations, grief, and shame. I believe that people don’t want to be “fixed” but loved, and deep down at their very core is a hunger for the love made by an infinite God who is love and desires union and oneness to fill you up with Himself, in the person of Jesus.
We have a blended family of ten kids and drive two Hondas to get around. We enjoy camping, hiking, bike riding, canoeing, white-water rafting, and exploring the beauty of Jesus through the Great Smoky Mountains.
Through my book and our organization, Operation: Victory Blends, we share the message that even amidst the brokenness and challenges of life, there is hope, healing, and profound love in Jesus Christ. Our journey and insights are designed to help you see beyond the pain and into the victory that comes from true union with Jesus.
